Whiteside Cemetery
This cemetery is on top of a hill and if you are not looking you will pass it by. The hill that it is on is covered with prairie grass and the only part that you see from the road is the tree and the top of the grave marker. Next time you drive by the SIU stadium and soccer fields look up and you will see the top the the stone. This is the Whiteside family plot. There is a few old Farm houses in that area so maybe they lived in one of them.
This is a small family plot not sure how many are buried here maybe about 6 or 7 but this is the names that I found.
