Welcome to the next cemetery. This is Riverside Cemetery the first one that Barbara took me to. It has old and new graves ,this is a big cemetery. Most cemeteries use only fake flowers but this one they plant flowers on the graves. I guess you could say just like the old days.
Just look how tall this monument is, Mr. John Shaw must of been a very important man or rich, maybe both. I did notice that a lot of graveshad urns on the tombstones.
There was a lot of crypts in this cemetery, these photos was taken with my digitalcamera. I took some with my 35mm too, but like I said my scanner bit the dust. When I get a new one I will put another page on this site.
Isn't the statue beautiful, just think about the people that created these works of art.Who were they , are they the local artist?. Is the only place that you can see their workis the cemeteries.? There is so many beautiful tombstones out there, so all you people that visit the museums maybe you should visit your local cemetery too! There are so many works of art long forgotten except for the love ones that still visit the grave site.
