I don't know how many times we just passed this by. One day my oldest daughter wanted me to go to Eckers to get some apples and pumpkins .On are way there I seen this sign that I have never seen before and on it was Hill View Cemetery or something like that. That magic word stood out CEMETERY! What I find strange is when we were in this town on one of our trips we stopped at a gas station and ask if they knew of any old cemeteries and they told us about Otterville and a few others but not this one. When my husband asked me were I wanted to go for my birthday this year I told him I wanted to check this cemetery out. He thought that I was seeing things and there for awhile I did too, but we drove a little more and there she was. There was only two tombstones that caught my eye and one more than the other.
This monument was wonderful , I can say, so far this is my favorite.I took a lot of this marker. I will let you judge for your self.
I have never seen an angel like this before. This monument had so many different ornaments carved on it. There are squirrels, doves, angels, cross swords,bells,chains and so much more.
It also has a carving of a dove and angels on the inside of the top. I could see that inside the four columns there was something else. I took my wonderful digital camera and held it under the top and took a picture.
This is the underside of the moument, It is so beautiful. Time to go to the next grave yard , I hope you enjoyed this one.
